Literacy Programs in Waterloo, Ontario

Frontier College is Canada's original literacy organization. In Waterloo, we recruit volunteers to work with learners in the following literacy programs. We screen and train all of our volunteers before they go into the community. Reading Circle

Volunteers work with children at a weekly Reading Circle held at the Waterloo Public Library.

Homework Clubs

Volunteers work with youth at St. David’s High School.  At the YMCA Host Learning Circle, volunteers help students from grades 2-12 in a one-to-one or small group setting.

Small Group Tutoring with Youth

Volunteers provide in-class help to students in the classroom at St. David’s Catholic Secondary School.
