Frontier College is Canada's original literacy organization. In Fredericton, we recruit volunteers to work with learners in the following literacy programs. We screen and train all of our volunteers before they go into the community. Doone St. Community Centre Homework Clubs
Tutors work with elementary school aged children to help them with reading: writing, math and homework projects.
High School & Adult help
Tutors work individually with high school students on homework in all subject areas. Parents who are working on GED preparation are also welcome to come in for individual help.
Multicultural Association of Fredericton (ESL& FSL tutoring)
Tutors work individually with children (elementary school) and youth (high school) on homework. We also hold a parents “conversation circle” where a tutor leads a discussion on a newspaper article of the day and parents have a chance to practice speaking English.
Fredericton Public Library Teen Homework Help
Tutors help students from anywhere in Fredericton (North and South- transportation available upon request to the library) with all subject areas of middle school and high school. The library provides computers, a reference librarian and all sorts of reference materials.
