Every week, our trained tutors help children and youth to do their homework in our French and English after school homework clubs held in the following centres: Tyndale St. George's Community Centre, les Residence Project Chance, le Relais Côte-des-Neiges, Le Service d'interprète, d'aide et de référence aux immigrants (SIARI), la Maison d'Aurore, les Enfants de l'Espoir, Kouzin Kouzin' et les Habitations Jeanne-Mance.
Our Montreal tutors also work one-to-one with adults and youth who wish to improve their literacy skills in French or in English or they help newcomers with their French as a Second Language (FSL) skills.
The Golden Volunteers is a brand new initiative in Montreal. The goal is to recruit and integrate seniors in our regular literacy activities. This project will allow seniors to take action within their community and to share their knowledge and experience with our learners, our university student volunteers and our community partners.
Frontier College volunteers also tutor small groups of individuals (youth or adults) either in French or in English in the following organizations: Pearson Adult Education Centre, le Relais Côte-des-Neiges, les Petites Mains, le Jardin Couvert et Au Coup de Pouce Centre-Sud Inc.
