Frontier College is Canada's original literacy organization. In Quebec City, we recruit volunteers to work with learners in the following literacy programs. We screen and train all of our volunteers before they go into the community.

We run four Reading Circles for children in Quebec City schools located in marginalized neighbourhoods and at the local Gabrielle-Roy Library. We also run the Camarades de lecture program which brings university students, high schools students and kids together for a six week period during which they share the pleasure of reading and discover the wonderful world of books.
We run a Homework Club for youth at L' Évasion St-Pie-X, a community centre located in a marginalized neighbourhood of Quebec City.
We work with the learners of four organizations to support adults who are working on their literacy skills or on their French as a Second Language (FSL) skills. Two or three hours per week, our trained tutors meet with learners from one adult education center and three Immigrant Service Agencies.
