Frontier College is Canada's original literacy organization. In Sherbrooke, we recruit volunteers to work with learners in the following literacy programs. We screen and train all of our volunteers before they go into the community.

We run a weekly three reading circles at: Cuisine collective le Blé d’Or, Coopérative des Grandes-Familles, and le Réseau d’appui aux familles monoparentales et recomposées de l’Estrie (Rame).
There are six Homework Clubs where our volunteer tutors help children and youth to complete their homework after school. They are held every week at: la Maison de la famille rêve et espoir, Famille Espoir, le Service d’aide aux familles réfugiées et immigrantes de l’Estrie (SAFRIE), l’Office Municipal d’Habitation (OMH), l’école Larocque, l'école des Quatre-vents and l’école Desjardins.
We provide one-to-one tutoring for adults who wish to improve their literacy or French as a Second Language (FSL) skill in the following adult literacy community organizations and Service Centres for immigrants: Service d'aide aux néo-canadiens, Service Pré-retour, Centre d’éducation populaire (CEP).
We tutor small groups of individuals (youth or adults) with our following partners: le Centre d’éducation populaire (CEP) and Famille espoir/Carrefour communautaire d’Ascot. We also run journalism workshops at Desjardins School.
