National Research Report Event: Literacy and Essential Skills as a Poverty Reduction Strategy

21/Mar/2019

Frontier College is proud to present the National Research Report on Literacy and Essential Skills as a Poverty Reduction Strategy, prepared by the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC).

The report is the culmination of a national study that engaged regional and national literacy associations, poverty reduction organizations, service providers, policy makers, researchers, and individuals involved in literacy and poverty reduction programs across Canada.

Funded by the Government of Canada's National Essential Skills Initiative, the National Research Report will provide strategic recommendations on the future of literacy programs in Canada, and will highlight innovations that are helping to empower and move Canadians out of poverty.
