We are getting ready for camp season! Read about our Aboriginal Summer Literacy Camps.

Did you know that the love of reading, not just the ability to read, is more predictive of school success than any other factor? During the summer of 2016, Frontier College will partner with First Nation, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) communities to provide free literacy camps to over 6,600 children from coast-to-coast. The camps respond to a need to reduce summer learning loss, which can occur if children do not use their reading and writing skills between the end of the school year and the beginning of the next.  The results show that campers return to school ready to learn, with greater confidence in their abilities and improved attitudes toward reading and learning. What seems like summertime fun and games actually prepares campers for school and life! Learn more about our Aboriginal Summer Literacy Camps
