Lawrence Hill visits Frontier College

On June 16, we received a wonderful donation as a result of CBC's Canada Reads. Author Lawrence Hill presented a cheque on behalf of publisher HarperCollins Canada. The donation will support our Aboriginal Summer Literacy Camps serving 120 communities in 9 provinces and territories.

IMG_2174.jpgLawrence visited our bookroom to learn how we ship over 25,000 new high-quality books to the communities for the campers. He also met with our bookroom volunteers, staff, board members and donors. He graciously signed donated copies of his winning book from CBC Canada Reads - The Illegal.

Thank you Lawrence!
