Thank You!

Thanks to everyone that participated in Frontier College's 17th Annual Scrabble for Literacy event! This was our first time holding the event online, and we had a great time!

Huge thanks to our sponsors, participants, players, spectators, committee, and supporters. You all did a fantastic job and we hope to see you next year.

From the first words played, it was a close game with Team Gena (Gena L., comedian Debra McGrath, and Scrabble ringer Josh Sokol-Rubenstein) winning the game with a score of 370. Team Skye (Skye P., comedian Colin Mochrie, and Scrabble ringer Jackson Smylie) put up a strong fight, ending with a score of 368. The game was lively, quick, and funny -- who knew that watching a game of Scrabble could be so much fun?

Thanks also to host Martha Chaves, ringers Josh and Jackson, and celebrity players Colin Mochrie and Debra McGrath for bringing so much humour and personality to the festivities.

Leading up to main event, people across the country played each other to determine who would play the live game. We'd like to recognize the amazing playing of Jordan G. from Livewire Communications, winner of this year's National Gold Tile Award and Olga R. from CIBC, winner of the National Silver Award.

From donations to sponsorships and bidding at our online auction, this event raised $75,800 for literacy programs in Canada. This will make a huge difference in the lives of people across the country. We are so grateful for your support.
